Charming B&B in the heart of town, within easy walk of shops and restaurants. The Lancers is the former home of Dr Who actor Tom Baker and was bought from him and converted to a B&B in 2007.

The Lancers is a beautiful beamed, self-contained annexe with cast iron bed with decadent memory foam mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets. There is an ensuite shower and breakfast is served in the oriental dining room in the main, Georgian house.

This is the perfect place for a romantic get-away as you have total privacy in your gorgeous annexe and the room has to be seen to be believed, with a tall beamed ceiling and elegant furnishings.

There is always tea, coffee, and fresh milk and you only have to ask the friendly owners for anything you need.

Delicious full English breakfast can be taken in the 'secret' walled garden or in the lovely dining room.
